well to be fair, makochan wasn't the worst player in LoS ever

I can think of a couple clerics and a rogue that were definitely worse

Nameless Love

Postby sabux » Mon Nov 06, 2006 10:16 am

All the elitist BS aside, the average joe like myself, considered LOS gods.
But not only LOS but also CT, Euphoria, Sanct, COE...

The average joe was causual to hardcore, so-so gear and hungry for a chance to join a raid guild. I'm not ashamed to admit I would run to the EC tunnel when i got a tell that Tigole, GlicBoommaker, Quixen... or someone else in that league was there- just to stare (inspect).

All the super geek, exploit, asain hate , talk aside there is nothing out today that will compare to EQ1 pre Luclin, and possible nothing to come.

Whenever you embark on something new- you know it will eventually end. Whether that ending is with class or regret its up to the players involved. Do the right thing and disband LOS- or rename it.

I remember Makochan at Aviaks with myself,Ganzo,Manalope and Kilgor (I think that was the shammy's name). She says to group "I pull" and proceeds to nuke away. And not even on the same mob. No she has to make sure to hit all 3 mobs in the pull in turn.Ganzo gets 1 off her. I root another and she just stands there letting the 3rd beat on her while she nukes away(Seems she forgot she to had a root). At that level a wiz could take maybe 3 hits from an Aviak before dying. She dies and spams us. She comes back. Rinse and repeat. Finally we gave up. I stopped rooting. Mana stopped healing.Kilgor was calling her names and Ganzo was sitting down somewhere AFK. She still pulled 3 more times after that and then finally left the group.

Once she left we stayed there for another 4-5 hours and made a few levels. Not 1 death.

LOL I never had so much as I did in SK. That whole area was great at the lower levels.

It sucked at level 55ish being there and trying to work on the stupid robe quests, except for helping out the lower levels with stuff hehe.

I know what you mean
I used to do the same thing. I remember being really super impressed with LoS, Sanctuary, EoTA folks back when I was leveling. I remember grouping with some EoTA twink early in Kunark crawling thru Dalnir and being really proud of myself when he complimented me on how well I played.

He even assumed I was a twink(i wasn't) because of how I played

(I later learned that a big chunk of people that were in all these guilds weren't especially talented, just played way more than everyone else ;) )

Hmm, why does Makochan sound familiar ... did Tokagekun aquire that account later on? And who was Tok's main, damn I can't remember, seems like he was a mage as well.

I remember I used to duo with Polonius or Reynaldo (I think Iaminae was playing them both during this time) and I was really impressed with how strong the characters were. At the time I'd never seen a bard with that kind of DPS at the time.

Makochan's twink was Tokagekun

I'm pretty sure he ebay'd after tigole kicked him out of LoS for sucking

Mako was married to Moca (HE cleric and actually pretty good)

they're a big part of where the Package Deal veto drama came from

one on one, a properly played cleric can beat just about anybody

(rangers and bards kiting would be the obvious exception)
