Shadowknights are actually the preferred group tank (though paladins tank equally as well)

Disease Cloud is un-nerfed to be the aggro beast it was.
Flash of light is comparable, but not AS good. (Paladins, but they get stun to even it out anyways)

Bards have a minor issue with songs getting stuck sometimes and you need to cast the same song again to fix it (trying other songs will result in a "fizzle" of sorts, until you fix it) The bards I've grouped with didn't complain about it, and are good bards.

Bards can NOT kite entire fucking zones anymore. That shit is rightfully nerfed.

You guys should have sported the 4.99 to buy SoD and all the prior expansions off Steam. I don't recall if you got the 3 free months but I was able to upgrade my 6 EQ accounts for 30.00 where in the past it would have been 130+.

Fallen Wolves for the win :)

Having played since 99, I know of what you mean, but in a lot of ways, its not really changed much at all compared the what you'll play on EMU. Things hit harder, you have more hp its just more of the same.

All I was saying is 4.99 for what could be 3 months of play time, that seemed like a win win sort of deal :p

i'm too far behind PoN to ever be able to really raid with them again unless i played 8 hours a day for two months. i'm seriously considering reconnecting with people that actually play when i'm awake because since 10sun quit and sutiea probly doesn't play anymore either, i never, never talk to anyone when i'm on. the couple of canadians and americans in PoN are chill but they're all a thousand times doper than i am and i'll never be able to play as hard as i used to

what do you do in fallen wolves clak? do you want my lv84 shd ? he's got some decent stuff i guess but it's probably mostly outdated now

what i keep jonesing for is finding someone that wants to go to velious/kunark and turn off normal xp at lvl 60 or 65 and kinda relive the old days with AAs and mercs since we'd obviously never get enough people to have a raid there. but still be in the level range for velious to grind AAs. also i want to use old gear with familiar names and kinda suck again. everything's so hardcore now

Play here and wait for the expansions to come out?

Plus, I keep getting richer so twinking everyone comes with time now that I'm 50. (makes starting fresh suck a lot less)

New EQ is basically the Presidents Choice version of WoW

I've got my bank of guys and just got that sod expansion, Fallen Wolves was the guild I was in back in 2001 or so. I was able to get back in and am now guild leader (along with Dimper for those who know that name). I really just play my own game, at my own pace, for me, the game is still fun. I enjoy some of the events they do, that dragons thing, then that giants thing, I'm just getting into the SoD zones and going through the progression. I've got a few of my guys on the server top 100 so that gives me an e-peen LOL.

A few folks, maybe 4 or 5 play in the guild so it's nice to see /gu.

We don't raid, but we do group when possible for progression, gear, etc.

I've got every flavor of toon, and am a jack of all but master of none of them, cept for my war, I think I do all right with him.

I wouldn't want the SK, I've got one that's about 80 right now. I'm not hardcore at all but not sure I'd be real keen to play in kunark with my 60-65 gang either lol. There are other zones now and even at 60-65 with defiant gear, you'd spank somewhat easy the mobs around those parts.

As of late I've been doing those McKenzie MM's with my gang, knock them all out in about 2hrs and get some nice loots, cash, exp.

I play from about 9:00pm to 11:30pm, usually when the wife is watching her girly shows LOL :p

bards are fairly broken compared to original bards

Hey Darcler, you forgot to put the quotation marks around "good".

I've been out of town dog sitting for a friend.

So far, I've given a few things to Durothil and some money I think. Once I sell that SSoY I'll be fairly rich again. (silly rich actually...)

To be fair to myself I won't twink the shit out of people outright, until you've leveled and played a bit. I don't want to bankrupt myself and then you quit at level 12 lol

Got around to doing this.

Logging on, I get a black screen. No sound. EQ cursor though.
