I am a little worried that they tried to go too theatrical/emotional with storytelling in 13, though.

and yeah try tactics if you haven't. it's not like other FF games tho so don't go in expecting to walk around and get in random battles. you go to battlefields and play out scripted fights as you go thru the story line and build your character classes etc. you can run into random encounters as you move past each battlefield you've already completed tho
it's just deep. and long. and hard. unless you're bitchly and use Orlando and his hasted sword of rape. then it's really easy. but i do that a lot i guess, purposefully make it way harder. like not using stimpaks in fallout 3 because there's a "used stimpak" counter that i want to keep at 0 heh

The reason I liked tactics ogre better was more characters allowed more diversity in the party makeup
it's hard to justify not taking the unique named guys in ff
Tikker wrote:Just out of curiousity have you even played thru tactics ogre ?

unless i'm confusing tactics ogre with ogre battle (wtf naming noobs)
