I can't wait.

I haven't been this excited for a game in so long.

I have some exams on the weekend of the the 14th so I won't be able to play right away. Got my PS4 already though. Sitting in a box on the floor of my basement right now.

Have you checked out the companion app for android/ios? They released it 2 days ago I think. You can check out the map a bit, some sample items/gear/perks.

It's already installed and ready to go!

What really pisses me off is that people are already playing it.

Looks like PS4 version of Fallout 4 has some pretty bad frame rate issues. It's running better on PC with a shitty computer.

Everything I've read says XBox has the same issues, but most people are reporting this as a PS4 issue. Why?

My PS4 version should be here today. Why do they release games with serious performance issues still? Ugh.

I've read up on it a lot and it seems it's just people from other consoles slinging things pretty unfounded. performances issues are pretty negligible. Hardly "severe".

Haven't played the game yet, but Bathesda does have a track record of releasing games on launch that are VERY buggy.

Well, it will probably be two years before I can play it anyway. Maybe they'll have patched it by then.

Four hours so far, no major performance issues

So how is it? Is it worth $60 or is it just the same ol shit? I was sort of bummed to read a few reviews that say all the same problems are still there e.g. crappy ballistics, poor story, horrible AI, and buggy as usual. Sad to see things like "Maybe it's Bethesda, not war, that never changes"

I also hear there's no more moral decisions to be made and no faction or karma. And you can't holster your weapon to run faster. And skill/perk related dialogue checks no longer exist.

I haven't read anything about it but I was really hoping they'd add at least one vehicle of some sort. I'm not going to be surprised when I hear they haven't

There's perks like in every fallout for specific speech options.

CHA checks, "ladykiller" is back, merchant specific options, etc.

So that's not right.

I am glad I bought it. The voice acting is superb, so far. There's so obviously more going on in this than how empty FO3 felt.

The FPS portion of combat is about 100X better. It's not clunky and feels like it should FOR ONCE.

Nice, think I'll grab it tonight for sure then. Sometimes I feel like reviewers just hate everything for the sake of it

I got caught up building my town for 3 hours, and realized; "I'm fucking playing the Sims 3 inside of Fallout 4, and I didn't even realize it."

I promptly stopped building my town and went back to questing. I'm not even mad though lol

It's a lot of little things, like the dog growling when there's an enemy in range that you can't see.

I can't say enough good about the game. (As someone who LARGELY prefers 1 & 2 to both 3 and NV combined.)

It's at 41%. 3 more hours of inventory and work then it's fuckin on straight til Saturday. Gonna make a journal thread like brinstar did for Dark Souls. You should too. We all should. It's hilarious to read everyone's antics

ok i'm really digging it because it's, yunno, new Fallout game, but....

i have no problem running skyrim with mostly everything at max yet this game is running on low and still chugging. sort of surprising. i'm using an i7 quad @ 2.4ghz, 16gb ram, 2gb AMD 6700m. 64hz stutter still in effect. i had to get a mod for that in skyrim. you'd think they'd just incorporate that sort of patch into their next game? what's making this run like shit?

edit: seems like it's the crazy new physical lighting system. puttin my weak lil processor thru its paces. and you can't turn lighting off....

edit 2: god beams and tessellation. damn. RIP this game for people playing with ATI cards. i turned off god beams and can turn everything else up at least

Dogmeat does that in Fallout 3.
