scored JC3 for $15 on a midweek madness steam sale yesterday, and my box actually runs it really well. the play control, the combat and, sweet jesus, the explosions - all top notch

i'm only a couple hours in and i am wary of ruining the game by getting obsessive about the side missions and the challenges and shit, but the more i play the more i think that might not be an issue. it seems they combined JC2's "find the vehicle/weapon parts scattered throughout every base in order to upgrade your shit" element with the stunt challenges/race timesinks, which is a hell of smart move. it not only gives actual purpose to the challenges (aside from basic gameplay practice) but tracking down all those parts in JC2 was such a PITA. spending ten minutes trying to spot those stupid flashing suitcases really sucked the momentum out of trashing a base
