» What are my Friends and Foes lists?
You can use these lists to organise other members of the board. Members added to your friends list will be listed within your User Control Panel for quick access to see their online status and to send them private messages. Subject to template support, posts from these users may also be highlighted. If you add a user to your foes list, any posts they make will be hidden by default.

» How can I add / remove users to my Friends or Foes list?
You can add users to your list in two ways. Within each user’s profile, there is a link to add them to either your Friend or Foe list. Alternatively, from your User Control Panel, you can directly add users by entering their member name. You may also remove users from your list using the same page.

See, now Garg cant complain about there not being an ignore function.

Side note: when you add someone to ignore, you still see that they posted, just not *what* they posted. It shows up as a blank line or some shit.

What if I have you on ignore and Tikker quotes something you say. Will it show in his post?

(NOt that I would put you on ignore, just used you as an example)

Hmm not sure. I can only assume that it would show up, but dont know. I'll ask Gid, he told me about it when he was playing around with it.

Basically what happens when a foe posts is you get a line that says

"This post was made by "foes name" who is currently on your ignore list. Display this post."

If you click "Display the post" it will display the post as a normal post. The system allows you to see that a user has posted but not actually displaying the post. If someone quotes the foe, you will see the quote simply because quotes don't work the way posts do. I guess if I really wanted to I could make it not display the quote, but thats a lot of time I really don't think it worth the result.

I doubt many people are actually going to use the ignore.

I can have the entire board to myself if I ignore everyone. Just post aimlessly as if no one is paying attention. wait..
