when my cookies are cleared and i log in to NT a beautiful silver screen comes up that says "watch your step" and I really like that format. Can I get that format? I browsed the skins page but nothing worked for me when I clicked on it and I'm sure I am a noob anyway.

Click on "User Control Panel", the find "Board preferences". You will see an option for "My board style". Pick one of those and click submit. Try Prosilver and see if thats the one your looking for.
