Brinstar I'm looking at you.

I was hoping there was something in the display settings of the User Control Panel, but it gives me a server error when I go there.

1. right-click image
2. select "Adblock Plus: Block Image..."
3. if option unavailable, install ABP and try again
4. soothe buttfrustration with aloe vera crème
5. do a little dance and drink a little water

EDIT:
6. delete duplicate thread
7. upgrade from 28.8k modem
8. eat it

RIP (Remove-it permanently) an add-on for Mozilla (Firefox) will work also, but I had to experiment a bit in order to make it remove all occurrences.

When right-clicking and choosing the image to RIP, the 'RIP Advanced' >> 'All similar items' from the fly-out menu seemed to do the trick.

I hope this helps.

edit:Actually, that seemed to remove all signatures, not just the one. Hmm.... Back to experimenting.

The QuickImage add-on for Firefox can remove/block images images via a toggle button on the toolbar (three states: off, block third-party, block all). If 'block third-party' is chosen, it leaves board avatars as-is, but replaces third-party sig images (or any image, for that matter) with the text: 'image'. If the image is a hyperlink, it retains the hyperlink property but replaces it with text.

It also has a function to stop image animations, which is a nice feature/possible alternative.

phone/tablet.
Desktop uses Chrome with adblock np.

Also, home internet has been super sucky lately. Like really bad even for WOW.

Thinking about going to Time Warner and seeing what they can offer.

Urgh.

I definitely feel your pain on that count -- in the three years I've been in my current house, I've had AT&T techs out twice as many times to fix ADSL when the copper twisted pair gives up -- they go up on the cherry picker and switch out to another pair, the throughput is okay for a while, slowly degrades, and eventually that pair goes. It's an older neighborhood, so the lines are old, and there's probably considerable financial disincentive to replace them with fiber.

Slightly out of range for uVerse, so no joy there -- Time-Warner is about the only alternative.

It would feel kind of like breaking up with Lucifer in order to woo Mephistopheles.
