For sure jeda, its lame how easy it is now to level. We who got 60 along time ago had it ALOT tougher, and WTF epic quests now a days are a
fu@#$%$ joke. Maybe VI should update the quests, making them harder with better item. But that would be too complex for there likes.

I started when kunark came out as my RL best friend growing up was addicted to this game called everquest. I bought it in hopes of finding him online but never did. Instead I hurt my back and played it waaaaayy too much for 2 years and am a recovering addict now who takes it in measured doses. :P

November '98.. phase 3 beta, when there was only 1 server! The test server!

Played on the Rathe through open beta.

Tarew Marr from March '99 release until Nov. '01... then I made Spliffs, played him for like 4 months.. got him to level 55, quit EQ again cause it was gay. Came back in june '03... lvl 55 with 0 aas, 9 months later... 65 with 337 aa. AA doesn't prove anything.. except maybe that I've played too much over the past 9 months..

Sirc used a valid, but unconventional tactic to win. Some people called it an exploit, when it was IMO more of a clever use of things available to wizzies.

How wonderfully vague ;)

I'm with ya splif in the part about AA's, Is possible to get almost 12 AA's a day in Elemental planes... 2 months for someone in elemental planes is = 2 years of LDoN XP. Well maybe thats taking it a bit far, but you get my drift. I just like to see if anyone near 1000 yet. Or over OO

I dont think you could really keep track up to 1000. That would mean your class would have to have 970 pnts of AAs to buy, plus the 30. Most I've heard of was Warriors including GoD....800 some I think.

Edit: According to Magelo, Bards come in with 877, or 907 maxxed. Pretty close =)

I know there is someone out there with 900+ but i'm not remember her name atm. pretty sure Kallamon has maxed his AAs as well.

Glicboomaker still plays, btw.

sirc was the shit... He rode that shit all the way to Sirc the Sorceress . Sirc and Drolkard being the 2 Nameless people to win the server wide BOTBs.

I myself participated in the enchanter botb as the only non 60 chanter and lost to Areilia (sp) in quarters. The lack of dictate proved costly to me . This of course was in the second run chanter BOTB because the first one was a complete fuck up where at like 2pm est they shout THE TIMES FOR CHANTER BOTB HAVE BEEN MOVED TO 2:30 TODAY! and like 4 people showed up. Was the biggest load of shit I ran there just in time to see Dashi clean up Claritii in a heated finals between someone in a raiding guild and someone who couldn't even pull well in Velk lab. And proceeded to camp Wope's body there for 30 minutes while bitching out Kahil.

I still remember during the bard BOTB Autumnus getting into the pairings wearing blue fine steel as a warrior and the GM thinking he as a bard in lambent. Until i think it was Tirillia (euph bard whatever) bitched about it lol. And then Manalope randomly nuking me on the level 1 char i ran there to watch it with and getting ported to Qeynos sewers by Vinshayr and having his bind point locked inside the cats lol so he was banished for the remainder of the tourney.

if i remember correctly his tactic was using stuns and lures? as opposed to everyone else that was trying to hit you with that big level 60 fire nuke from Kunark whatever it was called. Meanwhile he was just stunning / using quick nukes
