Patriots vs. Chargers

Postby Harrison » Sun Jan 20, 2008 8:26 am

Let's just get this thread open before the game. :hiphop:

I don't think they have what it takes after seeing their scrape past the Colts.

And the colts being the best team besides the Patriots...

The fact that the Chargers BARELY scraped by the Colts with an injured team is, in my opinion, why the Patriots will steamroll them.

I hope it will be a good game. I'd hate to see my team lose it now, but man I pray for a fight to the end.

Be nice if they actually called the Pats for holding Gates there on the goal line, unlike the horrible bad call of calling Jammer when Stalworth hooked him.

Good game so far, though, and not a lot of bad calls. Unfortunately, the Pats are still not getting called for anything, short of trying to tear Turner's head off. Typical.

Chargers O is playing way too conservative. They need to score some points.

Be nice if they called the blatant over the back P.I. during that Int there, but naaah. It's the Pats.

Samuels climbed over him for the first INT. I watched it on replay, it was a poor throw, but it also should have been called.

The second INT was just a terrible decision by Rivers.

The Pats D isn't that good. The Chargers O just hasn't shown up with their A game. Not having LT, and Gates being gimpy is hurthing them. The fact the Pats LBs can hold Gates downfield doesn't help them, either. Sadly, Garrard seems a much better QB than Rivers.

Faulk is killing the Chargers. Take away his idiot dink screen throws that turn into 15 yards and the Pats have gotten very little done on O.

What exactly did you expect out of the SD offense, though?

Without LT they're gimpy enough, nevermind a QB not at 100%.

SD has showed good competitiveness so far, especially vs. brady, who doesn't seem to be at his best

they just can't seem to get that last few yards on the end of the drive for a TD, and if moss gets in the game there's no way they're gonna squeak by on field goals

poor kaeding is gonna limp for a couple weeks i think

Definitely possible.

Brady was sucking fat knob tonight, worst I've ever seen him perform. Defense was fucking ROCKIN' SD the entire time, though.

Not so sure it was Brady, as there was no Moss factor in the game. A lot of Brady's success this year has been Moss vrooming downfield or Welker wide open. Moss wasn't a factor and Welker uncharacteristically made a lot of drops.

The Chargers sucked ass in the red zone. You can't do that against a really good team and expect to win.

Win's a win, though.
