Hall of Fame....art monk... and Rod Woodson biting his tongu

Postby Tikker » Sat Feb 02, 2008 2:20 pm

So Adam scheffler is pushing rod woodson to pick between art monk, chris carter and andre reed

Rod's getting madder and madder (he thinks all of them should be in, and especially art monk), and he's especially mad that it's writers choosing the HoF (Rather than players)

anyways, Adam makes the point that other receivers have gotten in ahead of monk, and brings up Rice, etc, etc, etc, and then mentions michael irvin

rod rolls eyes, mutters under his breath (not worthy) and then tells them to change the subject

it was pure comedy

Monk deserved to be in YEARS ago. Its about fucking time. Congrats to Darrell Green aswell, one of the classiest and most talented NFL players ever.

I kinda understand why it took so long

Monk was rarely the best receiver on his own team

    he only made 3 pro-bowls

Art Monk set records for catches in a season (106), most consecutive games with at least one reception (164), and career receptions (820) during his career and though he was the most prolific WR on the Redskins or in the NFL he was one of the most important reasons why the Redskins were so successful in his time there. He was Mr. Third Down.

hey, don't get me wrong, he put up great numbers

but I think he only lead the skins in receptions in 3 seasons (maybe 4)

Gary Clarke also put up 700 receptions, and generally had more catches, and yards when they played together
