I'm not sure if it was a case of Philly being just that good, or the Rams being just that bad. Need another week of evidence, most likely. Iggles sure did wafflestomp the hell out of the Lambs though, that's for sure.

In other news, I suspect the entire northeast is shitting a collective brick about Brady's knee right now...

as a die hard eagles fan. I am not making any judgements by that game. The Rams simply suck. Dallas and Pitt in the next 2 weeks will be the factor to judge by.

I think it's a combo, Arlos... Philly looks good but St Louis looked REALLY bad. I had them at the bottom of the league in my list... worse than Atlanta... Buffalo (how about them Seahawks?)... San Fran and Houston. REALLY bad.

San Diego didn't have any heart against Carolina, I was pretty disappointed.

Bears were nuts. They got shredded by every offense in preseason when it was 1st string vs. 1st string, then come out in the regular season and shut down Peyton.

Brady getting hurt sucks for football, but it's stuff like that which creates the parody the NFL is famous for. That plus the Patriots core of older veterans could turn them into an 8-8 team for the forseeable future.

    Observations....
Rams blow. Seahawks have NO receivers. Browns really aren't THAT bad (Braylon catches a pass every now and then and that game is much closer). Dallas really is THAT good. Favre is fun as hell to watch play. Jags are overrated. Chris Johnson is going to be a star. Reggie Bush is finally being used correctly. P. Manning got sacked more last night then I think he has in an entire season. Chiefs need a QB that can sustain a sack without dying.

Sure felt good to see the Panthers take it from the Chargers after flopping in the 4th quarter.

    that made me giggle

I know you meant parity, but in some ways I like it the other way

I think the Colts over looked the Bears

ps, Devin Hester thinks WAY too highly of himself (granted everyone would have called it the greatest thing ever if he'd gotten a decent return out of it)

I thought Willie Parker looked like he did in his rookie season again, and the defense looked great(I thought Woodley killed the QB, jeje)

Well, many people (myself included) were putting Jacksonville or San Diego in the Super Bowl, even before he went down.

But sure... knocking out the major cog of one of the top 4 teams sure makes everyone else breath easier.

Kinda like when L.T. was out for the second half of the AFC championship game last year.

It's official, Brady's going on IR and is done for the year.

No official word on what the injury is, but it's gotta be an ACL at least, I figure.

Someone raised an interesting point in Peter King's SI column today.

You have to wonder if Favre is kicking himself over going to the Jets, rather than staying semi-retired. Bet you anything, if he'd stayed retired, the Pats would be announcing today that they'd traded for Favre, to replace Brady.

So, you think Favre wishes now he'd stayed retired, so eh could end up with the Pats, rather than forcing the issue and going to a much lesser team?

I could fucking throw to Moss and look good. Seriously, half of Moss's TDs last year were just fucking jump balls that he just pulls out of the air. Now if he could just put down the crack pipe....

speaking of that, i was going through my FF waiver wire and started going to the bottom of the list and saw all of these College Superstars that had bitten the dust.... and 99% of the time it was because of the 23 DUI's/possession of controlled substance/domestic violence charges against them a trip man.
