I think it's kind of funny that one of the bigger sporting stories this year has been Hockey night in Canada dropping their famous theme, and attempting to come up with a new one

approximately 4 seconds after CBC drops the theme, TSN buys it up for their hockey telecasts, and every other day, mention it in their news casts

I'm not sure if there's a comparable theme song in the states, but it would be kind of like Apple hiring Bill Gates
