the stanley cup final is starting this saturday, same teams as last year, but this time the penguins will win!

how do you figure? the penguins were a better team last year.

there's something to be said for getting thumped first time around, and learning how to win the hard way

it'll be a good series, with the best 2 teams in it. i don't particularly like either team, but it'll be really good hockey either way

Well, congrats to the Pens for sure. That was one clutch save by Fleury with 1 second left on that rebound shot by Lidstrom in game 7. That goes in, I think Detroit comes out in overdrive in OT and wins it all.

Oh, and did anyone see the following news story? Makes me laugh at all those baseball or basketball players that sit out with bruises or something. I don't even watn to THINK about this injury...

While teammates played Game 4 against Chicago, Red Wings defenseman Nicklas Lidstrom was undergoing surgery after getting speared in the testicles by Patrick Sharp in Game 3.

Now THAT is playing through pain.....
