Tebow well positioned to become all-time best

Postby Naethyn » Fri Aug 28, 2009 12:24 pm

The main point is simply to illustrate just how high Tebow has climbed before even playing his senior season.

I was going to type out a query where I wondered how far his dick was in his intestine. I stopped halfway and now I can't help myself after reading her reply.

I'm not sure how you can even compare college players

everyone plays such disparate schedules, playing so many cream puffs with just enough semi tough games to earn a bowl game

college football is retarded with no playoffs

100% agree but the NCAA makes so much money from the bowls that it probably will never change.

But that's the thing. The bowls could all completely retain their structure and payouts. You'd just rotate through which ones held the final game in the playoffs much like they do now.

For instance.

8 team playoff.....

Gator hosts 8 vs 1
Cotton hosts 7 vs 2
Holiday hosts 6 vs 3
Orange hosts 5 vs 4

Next round

Rose hosts 1 vs 4
Sugar hosts 2 vs 3

Championship:

Fiesta hosts the Championship game

(or something similar) Everyone gets to keep their bowls, match the traditional conference matchups as well as possible based on higher seed and everything turns out exactly the same, except we get a REAL national champion.

Hmm, that wouldn't be a bad idea now that you put it that way.

i prefer the sweet 16 format:

each of the 11 conferences' champions get automatic seeds, and the remaining five at-large spots go to the highest-rated non-champions

that way the little guys (i.e. utah, boise state, etc) that win their conferences can have a chance to prove they can run with the big boys, and there is still room for second- or even third-place juggernauts from the major conferences (i.e. both texas and oklahoma get into the tournament)

yup, that's fine

it would also eliminate the stupidty of some teams who have like 30-40 days between last game of the season and their bowl game

that by itself is fucking retarded

If they give Heismans for crying, Tebow would win hands down after the Bama game. Nobody can shed tears like Tebow.

I think a college qb who spent his entire career in the shotgun is TOTALLY prepared for the NFL....

i wouldn't know how to tell, but columnists have gone on and on about how his throwing motion is ridiculously bad and won't get him anywhere in the NFL

he might have a future as a FB or a TE though

Just gotta wonder that these guys who have mad numbers in college either played in an awful conference or were in a system that created exceptional stats

two examples: Both University of Houston QB's Andre Ware and David Klingler would run up scores into the 60's-80's but were at least dissapointments if not worse in the NFL
