If the pets are popular, more will be added. I'm sure that Dogs will be included on that list along with all sorts of other creatures.

For this initial implementation, the team used a couple of the ambient creatures that were already located in the world: i.e. No new art was necessary.

Ambient creatures that I'm aware of which are slated for "pet" status are: Frogs, Chickens, Roaches, Rats, Prairie Dogs ... and probably a few others that I’m not aware of.

Yeah little pets were very popular in SWG. Even whent hey were bugged and could be stolen people wanted then just to place as furniture in their house. I made as much money as a bioengineer selling pets for toys and houses as I did for fighting.
