Need advice on a strat

Don't laugh, I'm just a newb still @ level 66 but anyway this is for Shiraak the Dead Watcher in Crypts. I killed him once so far with a group but it took us 3 times wiping...then later went back with some guildmates and couldn't down him. We tried DPS at max range doing instant casts with only tank up top and healer behind dps, but that didn't work.. Anyone know a fast and painfree way of downing this fucker?

You can run in on him with no problem. Make sure you have the boss mods that does an on screen alert for when he's going to flare. At that time everyone needs to turn around and run away from whoever he's targetting. Don't try to back out b/c you can't get out in time. If the tank get's the flare everyone needs to run away from the tank. It should be relatively easy. Umm hope that's how it goes since it's been a while since i've been in that zone.
