I'm just curious how many people are planning on purchasing WOW right now.

Didn't vote, but definitely going to play. Just not certain whether PvP really interests me or not.

I voted yes, but EQ2 still has the frontrunner position in my mind.

Right now PvP is so disgustingly Alliance biased that it's not even fun. If being constantly griefed by level 50 alliance members at level 15 interests you, go for it.

I've yet to be griefed in PVP, but it does appear to be heaviy population wise to the alliance side. Hopefully Blizzard will implement it better.

Right now the only way to even things up is to give Horde about a 500% experience bonus. At peak hours it's maybe a 3 to 1 ratio Alliance vs. Horde at level 50.

I'm having a lot of fun as alliance on PVE. I'll get plenty of PVP in controlled duel environments, walking around ganking and being ganked isn't fun.

I do like Horde more at the moment because it's not so damn crowded like some of the Alliance zones. Horde zones aren't nearly as polished though.

Left to their own devices, I don't think any of the horde races are "evil". They're just misunderstood~

The Tauren, though shamanistic, are relatively peaceful and wise, but they are also competent warriors should push comes to shove.

The Orcs are also shamanistic, but I think the traditions of their warrior culture are very important as well. I don't think I'd peg them as evil, perse, unless you condiser the Mongols or any number of other Human civilizations in our past that had these qualities to be "evil".

Sure, they've been the pawns of the Legion in the past, but they were fairly peaceful before then, and now seem to be settling back into their former way of life as they carve a niche for themselves in their new world. Provocation by the Alliance isn't helping matters though.

I'm not so sure about the Undead and Trolls though.
Seems like the Undead just want to be left to "live their lives", as it were.
The Trolls seem primitive, but I don't think that makes them evil by definition either. I don't think I'd leave any babies unattended around them though, just to be safe.

It's the influence of the Burning Legion, which is bent on the annihilation of all life that does not bend to the will of chaos, that is the true evil.
I guess the degree of evil in any race is directly proportional to the degree of influence the Legion has in their society. No race has proven themselves immune to their influence.

As to the ugly remark, that's all a matter of perspective as well. I would imagine a Tauren would consider a human to be just as unattractive.

Apparently the Orcs and Humans don't mind the differences so much though, as half-orcs are not completely unheard of.
Then again, we all know that Humans will screw just about anything that has a pulse and an available orifice/projection, although they don't necessarily limit themselves to those criteria, so that may not be saying much.

Seriously though, aside from PvP imbalances, which I don't think are going to be a concern for me (as I'll stick to PvE unless they can hash out the balance issues), all of the races are really cool, and I definitely won't be limiting myself to one side or the other exclusively.

is it just me or does the thought of an undead cleric seem counter productive?

seems to me that the races are just different body models stuck on standard classes (ala DAOC where your race is more or less irrelevant)

that being said im going to play an undead wizard of some sort
