No, only because it's from Thott

I used it once right when I first started playing and it kept fucking up chat channels.

It's extremely useful. You may want to give it another go, as it parses and has great real time info in regards to quests, equipment, etc.

I'm running the default chat channels and UI, but have no clue.

Being it tells you the levels of equip and quests, its worth it to my n00b ass right now.
