Cottage Cheese Does Not Have To Be Boring!

Cherry-Flavored Cottage Cheese
Sugar-free Jello gelatin mix.
The first batch, I tried about about 1/4 of the packet. WAY too
sweet. I don't like extremely sweet foods, so I reduced the amount
I used to less than 1/2 tsp. That seemed to work well for me.

Now I have cherry-flavored cottage cheese. Try other sf flavor
jellos as well.

Russian Cream
1 cup cottage cheese
Splenda to taste
about a teaspoon of pure Mexican vanilla (real not extract)

Mix in a blender until smooth, then dipped sliced fruit into it.
Not sure how to describe the taste... it's sort of halfway between
cheesecake and Russian cream. VERY YUM!
For an additional protein boost try some vanilla protein powder too!

OMFG It's healthy Nacho Dip
Blend 1 cup cottage cheese with a little skim milk, a touch of low
fat ranch dressing and a touch of Tabasco or Melinda brand hot
sauce until it's creamy. Pour a layer of this into the bottom of a
small bowl, add a layer of salsa on top, and bingo instant healthy
nacho dip. (If you want to make it pretty, make patterns on the
salsa with the leftover cottage mixture. Serve with baked tortillas.

Devilled (Angelled?) Eggs
Mix cottage cheese with a touch of dijon or curry powder and spoon
into hardboiled egg white halves for a substitute devilled eggs. Top
with paprika of course

Pineapple icecream?!?!?
Blend 1 cup cottage cheese with 1/2-1 can crushed pinapple. Freeze.
Mmm...
Works well with banana too though that one sometimes needs a little
splenda.

Frozen Banana Shake
Blend 1 cup cottage cheese with a banana and some crushed ice,
sweeten to taste with your healthy sweetener of choice (I like sugar
free maple syrup) to make a wonderful summer shake. Yum!

Alternatively, eliminate the crushed ice and freeze it for a decent
ice-cream substitute.

If you REALLY want to be decadent, add a touch of sugar-free hot
cocoa powder to either of the above.

What exactly is cottage cheese anyway? Is it cheese that hasnt firm up?

Cottage cheese texture is one of the worst textures I have ever felt. I might just try some of these, I need to eat better....or at all anymore.

Cottage cheese
Cottage cheese is a cheese curd product with a mild flavor. It is drained, but not pressed so some whey remains. The curd is usually washed to remove acidity giving sweet curd cheese. It is not aged or colored. Different styles of cottage cheese are made from milks with different fat levels and in small curd or large curd preparations. Cottage cheese which is pressed becomes hoop cheese, farmer's cheese, pot cheese or queso blanco.

Blending it in a blender completely changes that texture. Give it a shot Darc.

The cherry cheese stuff sounds good. I have tons of Jello that needs to be used up. I might try it.

Another good cheap win.. quaker instant oats.
Lots you can do with the plain ones

Protein pancakes -
oats
eggs
cottage cheese

mix em all up together and you have the base for protein pancakes

add ins
assorted fruit
peanut butter
protein powder
