my body is falling apart.

i tore a muscle in my neck somehow and have wry neck. i can't move my head without blinding pain, and the muscle relaxers and darvocet have done nothing for the pain except knock me out.

You need to stop with that kinky sex shit. No more swinging from the chandeliers and back flips off your dresser.

Either that or start going to the gym and get strong.

Er.. I don’t know if the two are related but didn’t you go on the Atkins diet and lose a bunch of weight really fast? Maybe you need to really work on eating balanced again and start a exercise routine to get your body back into shape? Just a thought I dunno…

i do go to the gym regularly and eat a balanced diet, and have for the past four or five months since leaving atkins behind.

i just turned my head in exactly the right way to result in a torn muscle, apparently.... i heard (and of course, felt) the pop when it happened, too--i was in bed asleep and my phone rang and in my half-asleep state i moved to answer it in a really weird way and POP :eyecrazy: it's intense.

Wow, I guess you can chalk that up to "shit happens" just don’t move it much and alternate between ice and heat through out the day. Give it a few days then stretch it ever so gently.

Stop drinking Malk and drink real milk. It worked for Bart Simpson.

One or two a day will help enormously. I wouldn't eat more than that. :)

hey thanks for the suggestion.

also, after about 30 hours since the neck-popping incident, i'm starting to feel much better. higher range of motion, less intense pain... and i think in that amount of time i've really only taken four muscle relaxers (i'm sposed to take three a day) and maybe three darvocet (i don't want to take them unless absolutely necessary, i don't like dealing with such powerful painkillers). here's to a hopefully speedy and full recovery.

You can actually eat Oranges too if you need potassium. From checking the nutrition websites, the average banana has 451mg of potassium, and the average Orange has about 325.

I know that I generally don't like bananas much at all, so oranges are the much better choice in my case.

Eat potato. A potato has around 940 mg of potassium.

Ugh I sympathize with you 100% The most painful injury I ever experienced was when I dislocated one of the vertebra in my neck, on its way out it wrapped around a cluster of nerves on the spine and pulled them. UGH UGH UGH. I did not weigh enough to get strong painkillers, so they just pumped me full of valium to keep me calm for a few days, but I could still feel the pain the whole time.

Rest it up, you don't want permenant problems.
