New training journal thread thingamajiggy

So I'm out of my short slump of being sick and depressed, and so I'm going to dedicate myself entirely to training even harder.

I put some serious thought into MMA and I'm going to my first class with a friend Monday. (Grappling) He goes to http://lauzonmma.com/

I feel like a whole new person again and it feels good. My birthday set me back a bit emotionally too but, I think I'm going to be fine this time around. She's hurt me twice but, it isn't ever going to happen again.

I'm warming up and cleaning my room up and then I'm going to go test the waters with a quick run to see where I'm at. I haven't done much of shit but lift a little bit in my room here and there since my milestone run a bit back. I'm probably going to suck horribly but I've been ridiculously sick and I expect that.

I know, blah blah blah. F you lol

Bicycle crunches are officially the hardest thing I've ever done for an abdominal workout, ever. I'm cramping up almost lol

I'm working out late because I'm still in third shift sleep cycle.

I vomited on the run I just took. (I was supposed to take it this morning after the crunches but I was cramping so bad it hurt so I didn't go.)

Only did about three miles in close to the same time it took me to do 7.5 eleven days ago. I'm not too happy with that but I did just get out of a slump of being in bed 12+ hours a day.

I finally fixed my sleep schedule. I pulled something in my abs, lol so I've been laid back and just doing light lifting instead of my usual hardcore shit.

It's an annoying constant pain from my abs that is quite frankly making me angry...

i strained my right quad/hamstring on saturday morning but i've just been making sure to do some extra stretching every day and it's back to normal now. i did spinning thursday morning, cardio fusion friday and saturday morning, went for a long bike ride sunday afternoon, and did cardio circuit monday evening. last night i took a nap hehe . . . don't wanna get too burned out. tonight is another cardio circuit, which begins my routine over again (thursday spinning, fri/sat fusion, etc.)

Never going running with a full beard again...

Holy fuck that sucked.

I only did 5 miles today in just over 50 minutes. I think my abs are healing nicely enough, still hurts a bit when I stretch back but nothing major.

I did 50ish crunches and didn't feel the pain I did even two days ago, 30ish pushups because my chest is a slackass in catching up with the rest of my body, 50 curls with 30lb weights, and 10 minutes of stretching before all that.

I can finally grab my feet when sitting and hold on to stretch like I did when I ran track years ago. I still can't touch my toes when standing though...which I find odd, it's the same set of muscles I am stretching (I believe)

I'm having a good day so far. I just wish I wasn't so fucking lonely to gain this motivation, it's the worst catch 22 lol

don't be lonely, you have us hehe

i can't really touch my toes without thrusting myself forward a little bit. i'm just not very bendy; i never have been, and sometimes i think i never will be. i definitely don't devote enough time to stretching, though, so it's no wonder my flexibility never seems to improve.

in other news, i really really suck at push-ups. boooo.

I must have had some cayenne pepper on the back of my hand. I went to wipe some sweat off of my eyebrow and instantly started to freak the fuck out.

I have never felt that much pain in my eye, ever. And I've had it swollen shut from being booted lol

Thank GOD I keep so much bottled water in arm's reach.

neg. i made enchiladas (sort of--i cooked chicken chunks in enchilada sauce, then wrapped them in low-fat tortillas with light sour cream and low-fat cheese) with southwest corn and a salad. not bad, not bad!

I figure since my brain is slacking in comparison to my body that it was time to do something about it other than read fiction.

So I'm downloading Rosetta Stone and I'm going to pick a language at random and attempt to learn it.

P.S. they charge $500 for this program, laff

I hope so. I'm actually excited...

I don't know what I'm going to go with. Probably portuguese first since this area is FLOODED with greenhorns who can't speak a word of English since they got here. Which I'll never understand...

I wouldn't plop myself down in Portugal and not learn their language...
