this would actually solve "the problem" but surprise! it would mean cutting into upper-level corporate fatcats' profit, something NEITHER party would ever stand for (notice i'm being bipartisan here)

so until a) someone elected is stupid enough to actually try deporting 15M people or b) someone elected is politically-suicidal enough to actually take a stand against the people getting rich off of all that cheap labor, nothing will ever fucking happen. in the meantime it will continue to be a distraction tactic to keep the proles arguing (along with gay marriage, abortion, etc) while the kleptocrats continue to fill up their loot sacks

Mindia, no, they are claiming the people I bought this property from built on the right of way (which goes up through the woods and the middle of nowhere). Supposedly supposed to have a certain amount of feet on either side of a right of way. No compensation, nothing. Just a nice 'fuck you, move your shit or we will move it for you with a bulldozer'. Too add to it, I found out the land up there is only good to build maybe one or two small business lots. So they are taking away from me and putting an access to land thats more or less not worth building on. I asked them why the airport needed another road to it, and the answer I got from state was because we have the money. Then I found out they dont have the money to finish it even, just start it, so I was like WTF is this

Gaazy, have you talked to a lawyer? You may not like the idea of suing, but it sounds like you might have a case, especially if the previous owner never informed you of right-of-way issues, etc. If you haven't, I DEFINITELY would, ASAP.

I was just gonna say the same thing. Maybe you can slap em with a temporary injunction to stop while its battled out in court.

Yeah we kinda did. Have connections I guess you could say. Basically we are getting screwed up the ass regardless. They have already cut and cleared up to the backside of the lot, and will be coming through very shortly. Its had me all kinds of depressed and shit lately until I finally said fuck it ya know, its out of my hands and all I can do now is adjust business around it and survive. Itll just take a little bit of think tanking I guess. My biggest problems will be figuring out how to move everything around to get forklifts and trucks in and out, there will just be no room whatsoever to wiggle around, and the kick in the stomach feeling that comes with laying people off. Even though the ones that are going are mediocre, disposable guys, one being a suspected pillhead as of late (which I guess will save me the money of a drug test and shit), it still sucks.

So all in all if you weigh the options, I figure you cant win against the government, its just pointless to try and a waste of resources because in the end they will find a way to win one way or another. Its the government /shrug.

While it angers me to think about it like that you are absolutely right. I think thats the way govt has worked since it has existed. Democrat repulican , socialist or fascist the goverment is going to do what it wants and take what it wants and there isnt a damn thing you can do about it. Its not a political party issue its a government issue.

Im sorry that the government is fuckin with your shit my redneck friend.

Brin, you're mistaken thinking this will cut into the profits of companies. Prices will go up or the product you're trying to purchase will be "streamlined" or in other words gutted or both so it can still be profitable.

You got it. As bad as it is to say, its futile to waste my cash flow on it. Im small enough as it is, and they WILL win in the end, one way or another. Like I said, business is all about adaptation based on your resources and everything, so thats what I have to do
