Civil Discourse

I'm not a big Daily Show fan, but this is good and so true because it mirrors so many discussions here...

no shit, you'd have to be a cold, miserable fucker to not enjoy the daily show

nothing's working, and if you feel all right you shouldn't. the daily show really hones in on that imo

My quote above is I'm not a BIG fan, because I find the Daily Show does a lot of the same schtick and to me it gets old. I actually prefer Stewart when he's in real mode vs. lampooning which often to me misses the mark. I have limited time. Watching a faux news show geared for young adults isn't for me. More power to you if it's must see TV.

I do find comedy in the lack of civil discourse about personal tastes from a clip from the Daily Show about the same subject. Who'd a thunk, especially in this bastion of open liberal thought....

I find it pretty funny that your one of the most uncivilized of us all and make a point to constantly criticize others for their behaviour. I guess humour is subjective that way.

You don't like the Daily Show because they consistently point out how ridiculous your "team" is.

hold the phone, newt. if lack of civility is indeed a problem here, which you seem to be alleging, how are comments like this in any way a solution? you are just as uncivil as any of the rest of us. choosing to hide behind clever* sarcasm and condescension does not somehow make you less so - it just makes you sound whiny.

*and by "clever" i mean "completely transparent and unconvincing"
