of the two dozen or so people i have seen post their results (here, at work, and on FB) only maybe a third of them wind up with obama or romney

mostly stein, johnson, and paul* - and then they're usually like "whoa that's not what i expected"

moral of the story: fuck the two-party system because a) it's asinine to take america's entire political spectrum bell curve and slice it right down the middle and expect everything to work out fine and b) they haven't actually sliced it down the middle in some time now. if only people actually took the time to figure out who their views align with and VOTED THAT WAY

*(i don't care much for paul but i think johnson would be a decent prez)

No idea, but in Canada we have two left leaning parties and one right wing party, and the math always ends up being ass rap for everyone.

It has been said that democracy is the worst form of government except all the others that have been tried.

-- Sir Winston Churchill

84% Gary Johnson*
77% Jill Stein* / 77% Ron Paul**

* I'd never heard of either of these people prior to this survey
** I think he's a kook, to put it mildly

The results, coupled with my impressions of the candidates is probably why I don't see much efficacy in the whole of the political process. I see it as something largely akin to rooting for sports teams, and I disparage sports generally.

Ron Paul: 81%
Jimmy McMillan: 73%
etc.

No big surprise.

But finding the right guy for the job is a bitch

This.

I think if someone was genuinely in it to help people as a whole, this is the best option.

I think people like you and I are too likely to kill people at the wrong times. For good intentions, but the wrong reasons.

I could never lead large groups of people.
