That's exactly why mass media is bought and paid for - to make sure that no matter what, he's seen in nothing but a bad light, and that he was just another crazed gun-toting lunatic. It won't matter if there was any truth to it. The media has already dragged his name through the mud and he'll always be known as a bad guy. The LAPD has never suffered any backlash for their deviant shit, and it's not likely they will now either.

The Chris Dorner story is troubling, but I think anyone with any rationalizing skills does not think he had a decent chance of coming out of that cabin alive.
