I don't either.. A mother who can't let go of her dying, vegatative daughter hardly seems funny to me.

I think maybe it's finding the propect of backlash against the Bush brothers for stirring this whole mess up and then taking political advantages from iot, to be somehow karmic justice.

Rust discovered a new word: "Karmic".

And I think you're reading WAY too much into that headline, Rust. Wishful thinking, perhaps?

I know who they are, Dipshit. It still doesn't make it the "headline of the year"... not in Tossica's point of view, I'm sure. I'm waiting to hear what his punchline is.

Now go play in traffic, Mindia... you're not needed here.

I would have used schadenfreude but I doubt people here know the word.

Well, I was speculating why he's have considered it worth posting. Personally I'd be quite glad to see Americans wake up to the threats to their liberties posed by people like Mindia.

You owe me $0.50 for using my 'dipshit' label for Mindia.

I'll sue!

I love that word! :)
Inside each person lives two wolves. One is loyal, kind, respectful, humble and open to the mystery of life. The other is greedy, jealous, hateful, afraid and blind to the wonders of life. They are in battle for your spirit. The one who wins is the one you feed.

I wanted to be understood. I can use all kinds of big words, but having to explain what I mean detracts from the message. Usually using words from a foreign language leads to at least some people not understanding you - like say, people who failed to finish high school.

While karma is a Buddhist concept it's a lot better known in common culture than schadenfreude, so I used it. Communication skills are *important*, mmmkay?

And as to being full of myself, I can at least claim to have an education, a high-paying job, a car, an apartment, and yes, I have even had sex with another human being. Let us know when you've accomplished one of those, ok?

The reason I found the headline so ridiculous is that it suggests that this selfish family expects the president to drop what he is doing and focus on one single individual out of the millions of US citizens. Regardless of whether they were referring to Gov Bush or the President, the fact that they think they are so important and worthy of all this attention is fucked up. WAY more horrible things than this current event go on each day in the US. The government should be focused on more important issues.
