WHere i come from we got whats known as the rifle line. below it you can only use a shotgun , gotta go north where no ones at if you wanna bust out your rifle.

I dont know the rules in mass but yea shotgunning deer is common.

I love bill burr. When he talked bout firing the .38 with no ear protection (oooooooooooooooooooo ) I was cackling. Tugs dad blew my ear drums out like that with an elephant rifle some years back.

No rifle allowed in Massachusetts at all for Deer. (Zero logic behind this but, we have idiots making the laws as usual.)

Depends on which hunting season here in Ohio.
Mixed bag of friends here, most common is the compound bow & shotgun sabots though.
Very few use rifles as you are limited where you can use them due to the danger from the range of a missed shot.

I took the History final in under 10 minutes. I was done before most people even finished sitting down lol

I'm expecting an A.

Congrats on having the willpower to go back to school and deal with the post-teens there.

I've been trying to muster the strength to study and take the PrMP certification for a year now. Never lasted more than few weeks of studying before abandoning it.

Yeah, the kids in discussions in class are the absolute worst.

I just want to be done with this busy-work and get into the meat of my degree.

    Balls deep in schoolwork again.

I picked up twice as many classes this time around because I feel I have more of a handle on what I'm doing time management wise. (Still struggling!)

We're absolutely getting hammered by snowstorm after snowstorm, 4ft already and more coming Saturday to Tuesday.

That's it really. Keeping my GPA up enough to go to UMass tuition-free is my main objective in life now. Near future we're looking to move out of New England.

i check in pretty regularly, but rarely see anything new :(

still doing the culinary school thing.

i picked ice carving as an elective class and really enjoyed it. so i've been rather occupied with that over the fall/winter season. only been carving for a few months, but i've ranked top 5 in several competitions. got a bronze medal in the collegiate nationals on my team piece for my mud skipper design. an organization called NICA (national ice carving association) offers certifications and what not, so i'll be working towards becoming a certified ice carver over the next year or two. looks nice on a resume and it's an easy/fun way to make some extra money. selling sculptures/shot luges/ice bars for events, weddings, parties etc...

watchin' hockey, drinkin beer and smokin them brutal bobs :bandit: with spaz. that's aboot all i gots to report.

6 weeks of student teaching down, 10 weeks to go

    my typical day:

0430 alarm goes off. smooch my special lady friend (SLF) goodbye. walk four blocks home. start doing whatever lesson plans i didn't get done the previous night.
0730 head to school. teach four classes in a row.
1145 lunchtime. get real food @ cafeteria or walk over to c-store for junk food. planning period immediately following lunch. fb convo with SLF. breathe.
    1315 teach two more classes.
1505 school lets out; hang around to see if any students come in looking for extra help
1530 go to work, do stuff
somewhere between 1800-2100 call it a day, scramble some lesson plans, go feed cat, walk over to SLF's.
    2330 collapse from exhaustion*

repeat five days a week. weekends are a little more chill except i still go in to work like 6 hours each day.

mix in 3-4 live gigs per month and ongoing work on two studio albums.

i just gotta survive until may...

Hahah right? Most of my time is spent in class, doing homework, or sitting at home with my son.(There's 6 feet of snow and more coming, so we don't go anywhere.)

About the most fun I get is finishing physics.

I gave her a ring just before Christmas.
We kept it a secret until just after the New Year.

    Congrats!

I'm getting married on Friday. We're doing the civil part with just a judge and a couple of witnesses. We will do the ceremony proper in July.

We are house shopping as well. I went through a nasty financial shitstorm in 09. My house was foreclosed after my then girlfriend and I broke up. She filed bankruptcy and I got stuck with the entire second mortgage which didn't go away with the foreclosure and our time share and a bunch of other debt. It's taken me 6yrs to dig my way out but I am finally free and qualified for a mortgage again.

    Yay for new beginnings!
