I noted a distinct dearth of applause after Bill Nye's opening statement, which I found amusing.

Ken Ham's technique of introducing (via video) all of those established scientists that are also biblical creationists smacks of 'appeal to authority' (i.e. there are respected scientists who believe it, therefore it's viable). Appeal to authority is an argumentative/logical fallacy from logic/debate 101.

I may disagree with Bill Nye on his view on whether religion will be or should be around in another 100/1000/10000 years, but I'll grant that he is an articulate and engaging speaker, I found the other participant less so -- his narrative seemed to "jump around" quite a bit and did not strike me as very cohesive.

The venue was the creationist museum so I doubt very many in the audience were there for Nye.

I watched the first 20 minutes or so and just had to stop. Came to the same conclusion as Menelvir. Blatant appeal to authority with very little substance. He's also trying to rewrite definitions that fit his narrow view.
