i think that some of the most gaming fun I had in eq was some of those late nights

stuff was generally deserted and you actually had to fight your way down to a camp, break it, hold it, etc etc

was always interesting to just go explore some of the zones that were empty too

I always kind of felt bad for folks that didn't play rogues. you miss out on a lot of neat stuff (like all the neat lore paintings in VP, PoM, etc)

So, Spazz should take a nap before he posts. Interesting.

During really terrible bouts of insomnia, sleeping pills did nothing except make me thirsty. ><
I assume results are likely similar for other people.

I can't take them. I can't afford the risk of being late to work on a regular basis. I'm up late as is working on papers, assignments, so forth - then I look forward to an 8 hour work day, plus 2 hours for the gym.

If I take a sleeping pill - I'll surely be knocked out for longer than I can afford.

Sleeping pills last longer than 8 hours for me. I will wake up after 8 hours still drowsy as hell.

A while back I went to GNC and bought some so called 'herbal' sleeping pills, but what they said they wre doing was adding more of the chemical or whatever in your brain that helps you go to sleep when you try. Still really couldnt tell if they actually worked, but som enight sit seemed like they helped, but I may have just been really tired /shrug May be something to look into though...

2 hours at the gym? how many sets per workout do you do? Do you do a shitload of cardio? That's a lot of working out per day.

Melatonin suppliments.
It's the hormone that regulates your sleep/wake patterns and tells your body when to start getting tired so it can fall asleep.
You take them at the same time every night around the time you wish to fall asleep, regardless of whether or not you end up falling asleep at that time (did that make sense?)
For some people, they help induce drowsiness. For others, they don't really appear to be doing anything until later on, you realize that your sleeping patterns have become more regular.
... and then, for some people, like myself, they caused such intense nightmares, on top of the constant nightmares I already had, that I stayed awake just like normal anyways, and so were simply a waste of money.

It's worth a shot to try though. I know a number of people who have regulated their sleep cycles using it. Studies do not show it to be addictive in any way, so it can't hurt to try.
