ok I'm sorry, the IE/netscape method was better~

instead of FTP'ing the bookmarks around, it jsut references the .html file sitting somewhere else

You can do this with Firefox by editing your profile. Not very hard, but also not going to work through two firewalls either. :)

But hey, your way is better. It wouldn't work for me but it works for you.

that's not my way! that's IE/netscape way!

i still think you're not quite understanding what I was saying

all you do is tell the browser (any machine with IE, no need to install anything) that the bookmarks.html is at http://somewebsite.net/bookmarks.html and you're done

that's way easier than forcing multiple machines to ftp shit back and forth

haha I know. Just fuckin with ya.

Yeah it's not a bad idea. You can change the physical location in firefox as well, I haven't tried pointing it to a location on the net. Once I found foxmarks I stopped messing around with it. If that addon goes away or gets defunct well see. ;)

I have another one at home that lets me download movies off youtube and save them locally. I cannot remember what it's called at the moment, but it's pretty cool. Nothing amazing though.
