yay for support work

Postby Tikker » Fri Dec 21, 2007 3:30 pm

there's absolutely nothing better than being the last guy in the office when the phone rings during christmas vacation season

it's 3:30

we have a Credit Union on a wireless internet link that's down

the branch is open until 4 pm

it's a 2.5 hour drive to the Credit Union

guess who gets to make the 5 hour round trip support call on Monday (christmas eve)?!?

If the bank has hours anything like the banks here they don't need their internet for at least a few days because they are probably closed for a week.

Ugh. I feel for you man. I gotta work until midnight on Christmas Eve. It's gonna be really slow so I'm gonna sit at my desk and watch movies on my laptop.

I read "I AM AMERICA (AND SO CAN YOU)" by Stephen Colbert, and it's hilarious, but I recently had the chance to listen to it on tape and it's way funnier...so much more going on with him reading...and the sound effects...I recommend that to pass the time any day.
