I've had this tune in my head and I know there have been several re-makes, can't recall the damn artist or song name though.
The artist is a solo guy, and the video I had seen him he was dressed in some Mexican looking black shirt / garb, hat with a round flat brim, etc. He is known for his leet acoustic guitar skills.

Not sure how I can describe this but here we go . . .

"there once was this lady, her name was <bla bla bla> I fell in love with a mexican girl."

Now that is not how it really goes but I think that is enough to get things moving from the experts here =D.

I think it's El Paso by Marty Robbins. The girl's name is maybe Feleena.
