i'm just happy there seems to be a true shadowknight-type class (reaver)

that dynamic was conspicuously absent from WoW

...i had long since quit when they added deathknights :P

VK/Riftblade is the uber PVP spec on beta right now.

I'm either going Cleric or Mage to start, I dunno which yet.

If I go mage, I'll prob go Elem/Pyro since I find that fun to level.

For Cleric, my level spec will be Shaman/Druid/Purifier.

I'm interested in how things look at 50, with the dynamic Rifts and endgame stuff.

So i'm retracting my Bard statement. I've tweaked mine a bit, put 13 points in Nightblade and rest in Bard and 0 in Ranger for free tank pet, and now it's non stop stream of soloing 5 mobs at a time, with no danger of dying. It seems very close to old school EQ Bard, with twisting many buff/heal Motifs at same time, while playing DoT, Debuff and DD songs, and if things turn for worst, pop run speed song and take off kiting or run away.

This is what I've got now http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=0MciN.qczoiM0o.Vhx

I haven't made it out of the 20s yet so a lot of what I'm looking at spec wise is just hypothetical.

I think I'm going to go Mage with a solo spec and a seperate healing spec to start out with.

I'd prefer to play on Guardian side, as I think it's better for leveling and a tad more traditional in it's fantasy.

I'll be playing defiant side - Cleric healer.

Kinda sick of wow. 3 of 13 heroic and just sick of it.

Not sure I will be playing in 2 or 3 months but im not gunna lie beta has been amazingly fun and end game looks interesting with 10 man on demand raids and the 20 man stuff looks kinda cool.

Could be bad could be annoying and bomb out. either way ill be playing friday on early launch.

If anyone wants to hit me up danakielty@gmail.com

Hey Mop!

Dropped you an email. I'll be on Thursday for the early launch.

Be cool to have a group of NT people on. We should decide on a server.

i'm 70% sure i'll be down for this, though i'd lobby hard for a PvE-RP server. there's enough shit popping out of rifts to own my face without worrying about some Guardian jackhole sneaking up on me while i'm questing. and the RP interests me mostly because the majority of the LULZ FAG kiddies will probably avoid it

I'd prefer RP-PVE also.

I'm not sure what class I'll go for. I was leaning towards Mage, but not so sure now.

Since roles overlap, I don't think class is as big a deal, but that could be different at 50.

I'm up for pve-rp as well. so far according to http://www.riftstatus.com/index.php it gives us an option of Faeblight or Shadefallen, unless they add more on release.

As far as faction I like Defiant more but really don't care that much and will go where everyone else is going. I'm going to play after 9pm est on 24th and I hope we decide on server/faction by than.

Either way, hope everyone has a ton of fun in Rift. Been a good while since I was actually excited about an upcoming MMO.Guardian side,PvE Server (Byriel) semi-casual. Not like the old days of 12+ hours a day 7 day a week type stuff. We all now have RL to attend to and it will come first.

Lyion, lets track down Fell and start Sanctuary on their server just so we can start back the drama with LoS

Hi Iams & Sith, Long time no see.

I'm easy about anything. My only concern with committing to anything more than a few friends is I'm not sure if the game will be that good at 50. I loved AOC beta and Tortage, but was gone in two months. Sounds like you guys have become dirty casuals like me, though.

DPS wise I don't think they are.

I'm leaning towards playing a Mage to start, just for a change of pace. I've done the cleric/rogue thing almost every MMO.

I actually might make two characters since I have a surplus of time, and will probably burn my first to 50, since my MMO OCD will probably take over, then use the second to group more casually and hit all the dungeons.

I've really enjoyed beta and I'm hoping this will be a good long term game. After AOC I'm somewhat of an MMO Doubting Thomas, though.

Ya, no more 12 hours a day 7 days a week for most of us. What we used to do in one day in EQ is looking more about what we will do in a week in Rift. We figure 12-16 hours a week of raiding (3x 4 hours or 4x 4 hours, depending on availability and content)

Your board is run by Sithos and Snero. You are Sanctuary. :bandit:

I'd consider applying, but I'm fearful that if I join LOS it'd be the catalyst to the end of the known universe. Also, I dislike rejection. The Doofenshmirtz in me wishes to rule the world, but secretly I just want acceptance and love.

Bigger issue is I really would prefer to play on an RP Server. Just a smaller percentage of idiots, and a generally older crowd.

Ganzo and I are thinking Shadefallen/Defiant to start.

No free farm team this time through!

I just read that racials no longer work in dungeons or raids anymore (I think).
I'm still playing with the Soul Calculator and reading the Rift Forums trying to determine how I want to level my first character.

I'm really loathe to try the Necro/Warlock/Chloromancer but getting Feign Death is very tempting. I'll probably start with this build and then have a Chloro one for healing as my secondary soul setup.

I wish the Dragon Age 2 Demo was a bit longer. I need a fresh distraction...

Four classes. Multiple roles per class. You won't really find a shortage of anything.

Cleric is nice in you can tank/DPS/Heal. It's probably the best utility class in the game for pure role swapping.
