EQ2 Question

Postby Skraggz » Sat Oct 16, 2004 3:56 am

As some of you may have noticed EQ2 is almost Identical to SWG in almost every way, minus the genera. I was checking out the 'class system' the other day and suddenly got really worried that They will make the same mistake in eq2 that they did in SWG, well one of many. The one that I am most curious and worried about is;

Will they all people to change classes/careers on a whims? In SWG you are able to do this and If it bleeds in to EQ2 it will ruin the flavor of the game severally. Post if you have heard anything about this please.

I havent heard a developer say anything about it, but its not something that you can currently do.

Or ever do.

For those that can't follow a chain of conversation, that means NO you can't change class, ever.

In my opinion, EQ2 is nothing like SWG. I've played both and they are very, very different.

SWG is skill based. EQ2 is class based. You cannot change classes on a whim. SWG does not have classes, as I've said. They are very dissimilar.

SWG is more of a player driven economy, with an emphasis on Player cities. EQ2 is more of a linear MMO with development focused on class and subclass.

EQ2 has a lot of very simple quests and is much more structured. SWG is more open ended, and more PVP/Player focused.

SW:G is what you make of it.

If it gets boring it's because YOU weren't involving yourself in the tradeskills, player cities, player quests, etc.

Basically they wanted the players to make the game for them and so they dev's made these great landscapes, populated them with some mobs and called it a day.

Highly Innovative

I don't like a game where I have to make my own content.

Wait, let me rephrase that. I don't like a computer video game where I have to make my own content.

I play D&D with my Brother-in-law and friends, we make up content all the time, but when you pay money for something that you thought was a completed game, it should be in fact... complete.
