I got dragged into playing. I'm on Vaizel though.

The game has a LOT of issues to work through.

Spam, 100000000 bots killstealing and wiping quest mobs clear en masse, exploiting in pvp, performance issues with that piece of shit engine, crashes, etc. etc.

It wouldn't be bad if NCsoft was doing anything. The fucking in-game petitioning doesn't even work. The forums are devoid of any CS as well.

I didn't go past the free month. It's a giant failure of a release.

The game has been out for a YEAR in Asia, and it has the level of bugs I would expect in phase 1 closed beta.

Pet classes sending in pets to solo things without repercussions because the pet owner is beyond line of sight.(The mob literally doesn't fight back) That's fucking MMORPG 101. Mages on EQ1 did this 10+ years ago in various forms. (Using low level pets to pull high level mobs without adds, too)

Don't get me started on how much potential this game had, and wasted. It's fucking pathetic.

Sounds like you just suck.

Group of 6 of us are having a blast. The graphics are great. The combat is great. They seemed to have taken little bits from many different MMO and combined them together. A lot of this game just makes sense.

Built in quest helper, leveling crafting with work orders doesn't take gathered mats, the map and UI are outstanding, the list goes on.

Bugs? None so far but we are only 1 weekend in.

Why does he suck? He's saying the pet bug he encountered makes the game easier, not harder.

Sounds like you're just a fanboi. One weekend in? Haha, you haven't even gotten past the honeymoon yet. Everyone I know that has played this game has said the same thing Harrison did.

No, I almost guarantee the problem is you're a complete noob. Not the other way around.

"Rubber banding" issues galore. You jump off a cliff intentionally using your wings, you "rubber band" back and your flight cooldown is off. You now fall to your death. GG bugs.

The spirit master exploit I just said in the above post. They exploit it in pvp as well, the npc guards at your forts in the abyss don't kill their pets because they're not in line of sight. GG bugs.

BOTS BOTS BOTS not being banned, ever. I played for an entire month and not one single bot on my list was ever banned from day one. They killsteal you, or your entire group, because they are typically 5-8 levels above the area they are in. You can't outdamage someone that high above you, meaning you can't finish quests. Pathetic.

Bots ruin economies. See above^

Log in and your chat screen is FULL of bots spamming random sites that don't even sell in-game currency like they advertise. (the actual sites that do, don't spam in-game and have no need to. Read: IGE.com) It takes at least 2-3 minutes upon logging in each day to right click block all of the bots spamming.

Certain skill combinations will shut off your auto-attack mid-combo. This is a massive drop in DPS for certain classes.

Rangers massively exploit their attack animations by "jump shot". If they jump mid-skill of their animation they cut off the cooldown and/or animation delay and can spam 5 skills in under 2 seconds as opposed to their usual 5 seconds. GG bugs/exploits!

Seriously, you have no idea what you are talking about. This game is a pathetic failure.

I could list an endless stream of performance issues as well.

And be prepared to get owned if you come back saying there are no performance issues with their engine...seriously.

7/10 of the top 10 posts is how terrible Aion is, crashing, stuttering, etc. on machines that are WELL above the recommended specs.

Massive thread 33k views 612 posts.

I would link to the "official" forums but, in their massive ineptitude they aren't able to properly configure them. They are spammable, their own devs can't respond in tech support, etc. etc.

If you want to go look at all the people saying the game is unplayable there, so be it. You won't see one official reply, why? They're fucking morons and can't even run a forum.

Oh, btw, in-game petitioning? Impossible.

It's "in testing" and you aren't able to petition. (it said that on day one, all the way through until I told this game to go fuck itself a month later)

In testing? That's what beta is for you fucking retards.

Gotta agree with Harry on this one. I really wanted to like Aion, I tried to see past the inadequacies and kept telling myself "It'll get better". They did fix the spam (no more walls of text each time I login). BUT the bots are absolutely ruining the game. There are companies that will set up a personal shop and have their web address linked (www.buyaiongoldnow.com 5 dollah 1 mil etc) and that person is there for days and days without getting banned. I literally used my 10 bot reports in a 2 min span and yet a week later those same bots are still around, just in a higher level area. I did this day after day hoping to see a result. When 1 player puts in 50 bot reports on a person in a 1 month span and that bot is still around, then there is a HUGE issue. And I am sure I wasn't the only person putting in /autohuntingreport on this guy or any number of other bots.

As a player you can only report 10 bots a day. Seems like a nice number right? Nope, because any spot in game that gives decent xp has 30+ bots. Just hope you don't have a quest to kill 50 of the mobs that these bots are killing. Sure you can get a bit of satisfaction by running a bunch of mobs into the bots and watch them die (80% of all bots are gladiators that use alot of AE abilities) but they are back 5 min later. Do a /who on any server and I bet that at least half of the top level's you see there are bots. You will see Akjf running from spot to spot killing mobs followed closely behind by aKjf who is healing, so the bots run in pairs or even full groups sometimes. And they don't just bot mobs. They have bots for resource nodes and Aether nodes as well. I watched a level 20 gathering Aether from 250 skill Aether Node in a level 35ish area for about 10 min. She would fly up, gather. Land on top of a pillar out of range of the level 35-40 elites below, rest for 2 min and do it all again. I sent in a report but she was still ingame as of few days ago.

These bot swarms will be seen less in the levels 1-25 areas as they have out levelled them. But in the 30-40 areas that I was in it was just ridiculous. Unless NCSoft comes out this week and says "hey we just banned 50,000 botters" they are going to end up losing a ton of their player base when the free month is up or shortly thereafter. The offical and non-offical general forums are just filled with tons of threads that has the word Bot in the title. The game was fun for the first little bit but it's becoming burdensome now that the "grind" is kicking in and you have to compete with legions of bots.

I kinda like hoping in the rift to Heiron and slaughtering the plethora of bots there until a real elyos tries to stick his nose in. But yeah i agree there are alot of issues iwth the game. It reminds me more of Warlord online then any other game . I have a few more weeks on my subscription but unless Dark Poeta in a week or two changes my mind i'll be peacing out as well

We broke into the abyss last night. Did the first instance.

The PVP is very group dependent. "If you're in a fair fight you're doing it wrong."

Luckily, there are 6 of us. And it is good.

Ps. game runs great

The game as been out in the US for just a few months. I'm guessing you didn't play vanilla wow? It had way more problems than this game. Don't even get me started on EQII.

As for the bots? I've not had a bot interrupt my or my friends game play at all. We've completed quite a bit of the content and bots are few and far between. It may just be my server, but they seriously aren't a problem at all. As for the spam? SURE there's spam. There's a shit ton of spam. It's because you didn't figure out how to filter your party, say, and guild chat into a separate window. I can't think of any game where I've not done that.

I could go on, but to be honest every single argument you made about the game had nothing to do with you know... actual game play. lol

I think the problem you're having is you came into it expecting wow pvp where everyone can 1v1 against everyone else. It doesn't work like that in Aion. The game is much like Eve. Before the battle even starts you have a good idea if you are going to win.

Noob

Lol you're hopeless kid. You have no idea what you're talking about.

The game was out for over a YEAR in Asia. Localization doesn't fuck up mechanics. The game is a massive failure and you're too stupid to even realize it.

I'm guessing you didn't play vanilla wow? It had way more problems than this game. Don't even get me started on EQII.

I've participated in the beta and release of more MMOs than I can remember and this is by far the worst of them all. No comparison to the massive amount of a joke this game is. WoW was one of the best launches of any game I've beta tested and continued on to retail. I DARE you to try bringing up one third of the issues this game has now that WoW had in BETA. Even using Google you'd fail miserably. I don't even fucking like WoW.

Customer support is 99% nonexistent.
Pathetically taxing system requirements for ugly, dated graphics. (and even if you blow the recommended out of the water, the engine still doesn't perform as intended on a HUGE amount of systems for no discernible reason)
Bugs, exploits, bots, and spam(though I hear the spam has been fixed after almost 2 months...in channels, tells and mail is still spammerrific)

I think you and your friends are just massive morons and settle for shit because you don't know what "good" is.

"noob"

Naethyn, I'd be willing to hear you out on this if I didn't talk to at least a dozen seasoned MMO veterans who are completely unrelated to each other that all said the exact same thing Harrison did.

That's just too much of a coincidence.
