Password issues

I'd like to change my password but I've forgotten it. Chicken before the egg syndrom. In my profile I have to enter my password to change it.

From another computer I've tried to reset the password by using the "forgot password" link, I get an e-mail from the site with a link, but I click the link and it goes back to NT with "not authorised" text.

How does one reset their password?
