AVAYA Merlin Legend systems

Postby Maeya » Wed Jan 18, 2006 3:26 pm

Is anyone familiar with Merlin Legend telephone systems? We have version 3.0 (very outdated) and I need to figure out how to program it so my boss can eavesdrop on conversations, and am having problems. Is anyone familiar enough with the program to answer a few questions? My knowledge of the system is rudimentary at best.

Kahar 'might' be able to help you with this...he used to build predictive dialers and install telephone systems. He's out on service calls atm though.

No problem. I've been looking on tektips.com as well... and it *looks* like the feature I want to use (system observer or something like that) is only available for the 6.0+ versions... but I was hoping if someone knew the system well enough, they'd be able to answer some basic questions and clear the fog. There's no rush on it, though.

Thanks for posting :)

Honestly for a lot of older systems like that, you are better off going straight to a local installer and asking them. They can usually do it in an hour or two, priced at about $100 an hour.

it has been about 8 years since I messed with it. However yeah I think it was only able to do it on the more expensive newer systems. Jesus is right though doing a tap system would prolly be the fastest and easiest way without upgrading the bloody thing.
