I'm coming to the point where I am literally cleaning out many online retailers of parts and peripheral equipment. There are days where I have literally purchased 50 percent of Newegg's 1 gb ddr2 desktop ram moduals including all the value based memory.
I need a good, major wholesaler of computer parts that can supply volume, quickly and with great pricing.
My first stop in this little quest was with Ingram Micro, who so far has been terribly disappointing.
Their pricing for starters is outrageous. The memory quotes they give me are 15-20 percent OVER full retail from sites like PCMall, Newegg etc. The funny thing is that Newegg is even one of their customers.
Now I understand in this business you have to do some volume before you get the good pricing but Ingram is out of their fucking minds.
The other thing is that Ingram's site SUCKS. Finding the stuff you want is like searching for a needle in a haystack. Did I mention pricing? I saw "Dell" branded memory, whatever the fuck that is, listed for three hundred dollars, which is about 200 over the cost of an equivalent piece of memory.
Anyways long story short... Can anyone recommend me a company that can do volume on parts/peripherals and have prices that meet or beat the retail pricing from the bigger online retailers?
I'm signing up for Tech Data at the moment but I could really use some recommendations.
All of these companies have so far blew ass bigtime.
