I want to buy 24x7 tech support and onsite warranties for...

Postby Captain Insano » Thu Apr 13, 2006 12:29 am

computer that my company is planning on building.

I'm finally get near the point where I'm going to start selling my own brand of desktop computers and eventually begin purchasing badged and repackaged white box laptops designed by the same Chinese companies that Dell/HP/IBM/Apple buy from.

The only thing really left for me that is a mystery is where are these companies buying their warranties?

Not a single one of the major players in this market service or provide tech support for their own machines...

Anyone got a clue as to who they are paying to provide these services?

One possibility is a company called "Warranty Corporation of America".

I have mulled over providing the support myself but in today's market that is a really dated practice, not to mention to compete I need options for onsite service, which I am no where near being able to provide.

I have seen companies as small as Monarchcomputers.com offering 24x7 tech support and onsite warranty service, so I know finding this stuff is possible.

Help please.

Good question. Im dabbling in computer-building for money too. Will need to work out warranty issues at some point, if I ever get serious enough.

dell at least out the "at home" service to various local independants as well as bantec and installs inc

basically just took whomever agreed to fix the box for the least amount of money

beleive it or not office depot offers this on a on call basis and are actually qute good

avoid geek squad and other large retailer guys since usually they are high school students who think they know computers
