min req for bazaar seller

Postby Naethyn » Tue May 09, 2006 11:57 am

My current machine has an 800w powersupply that eats the electricity bill up. I was thinking on buying an old computer, turn it on at work, and let it sit and sell my bazaar goods!

Anyways, anyone know the barebones requirement for running EQ?

From EQ
Min System Requirements:
System: Pentium-200 or equivalent
RAM:64 MB RAM
CD-ROM: 2X CD-ROM
Video Memory: 8 MB VRAM
Hard Drive Space: 600 MB
Mouse: Yes
Sound Board: Yes
DirectX: DirectX v6.1

Recommended System Requirements:
System: PII 266 or equivalent
RAM: 128 MB RAM

My guess is probably a faster CPU, atleast 256M ram and any 3d video card. Chances are you wont be finding anything out there that cant play EQ as long as it has a 3d video card in it. This is assuming your only going to use it a bazaar mule and such. If you actually want to play using it, thats a different story.

But it SHOULDNT be.
There is a large fan, a smaller fan, a ceiling fan AND the AC. I still sweat during the night.

You need to get this shit looked into. I decided last night that I hate this house.

Hes sli, takes power. But 800W is pretty ridiculous.

Using a 600W one myself. That is powering 2 HDDs and 2 7800GTXes just fine.

3x HDD (2x74gb Raptor & 7200 rpm 300gb).
1x DVD Burner
1x CDRW/DVD combo drive
low end vid card & Radeon x850 for dual outputs.

and it is in a micro ATX case.

Runs quiet and smoothly.
