Making a video

I'm trying to make a video thats sort of an Undead Training guide. I'm taking video from EQ with Fraps having my druid killing zombies and stuff in Unrest and recording the narration for it with Sound Recorder but when I combine them together in programs like virtualdub or windows movie maker it makes it really laggy, what can I do to make it not lag out?
