Pain in the ass. I'm familiar, but won't be a great help.

I guess what I'm wondering mostly, is if there's a way to make 1 IR blaster talk to 2 devices

ie, digital tv, 1 set top box per channel
if you want to use a dual tuner card (let's say a hauppauge 500) you'd need 2 STB's
the hauppauge cards do have IR blasters, but I'm guessing i'd need 1 IRblaster per STB, and probably have to tape the sucker right to each STB to make sure 1 blaster doesn't accidently change the channel on both stb

I have tried to get an IR blaster to talk to 2 seperate devices and have yet to be able to do it. You are probably going to need to have 2 seperate ones.
For to win one hundred victories in one hundred battles is not the acme of skill. To subdue the enemy without fighting is the acme of skill.
