Cable modem

Postby Ouchyfish » Wed Jan 25, 2006 10:23 pm

My cable modem (Motorola) keeps going offline. The online button goes out and the send button blinks. Sometimes this can be fixed by unplugging it for a few minutes but the outages are getting annoying..Is it fucked? or could uit be something with the PC?

Thanks.

Have you called your ISP and asked if they've been having problems?

Called them and they say no outages. This happens about once every 2-3 weeks. They were supposed to send someone out to check the stuff out but all the guy did was check the line on the pole. :dunno:

My modem does that too. It's annoying as hell. My cable company told me to bring in the modem and they'll trade it for a new one and see if that cures the problem. If it doesn't I'm going to have to assume it's the screwy wiring in this house.
