HTTP tunneling

Postby Harrison » Mon Apr 24, 2006 6:56 pm

Anyone know multiple ways to do this?

My router is blocking a few domains, long story. I've been tunneling using a few methods involving some SHITTY proxies, and it's slow as fuck...

Anyone have a more efficient way to do this? (any suggestions accepted)

The router is just set to block "addresshere.com" and obviously any resulting pages from that domain...

Just curious if there's a better way to sneak it by the router than tunneling.

May sound dumb but, why are you trying to find a way to access domains you have set your router to block?

The best way to have access from your specific comp to domains being blocked on your router would be to have custom firewall settings on your route, Block access to all IP's other then yours.

If you dont want to do it by way of firewall rules, then your more or less stuck with something like a proxies.

I don't have access to the router I am trying to bypass anymore.

Here's a bit on the "long story"

My father is a pathetic excuse for a parent at times, my younger sister is (18), and my Dad thought she was whoring it up on the internet. So he blocked a bunch of domains...

Ahh, then proxies are really the only choice your going to have. I have a decent anonomizing website at work I can post later. Its a decent speed, but nothing great.

Well normal proxies won't work, the router is fucking smart or some shit...

The lengths I went through to get this http tunneling to work isn't worth the sub 56k speed...

I've seen faster 14.4's back in the day when I was growing up...

But yeah, if the site has a list of some good proxies, I'll see what I can do with them...
