I definatly works. I have a 256M thunbdrive with DSL (Damn Small Linux) Installed on it. Had to set up multiple kernel options on it because the thunb drive was a different device based on the comp it was plugged into (sda, sdb, sdc or sdd depending on the comp). I cant really think of a reason to setup dual booting to windows but it can certainly be done.
