Streaming a web cam through WMP?

Postby Tossica » Sat Dec 16, 2006 10:04 am

I am having a party tonight and I want to be able to stream a webcam set up in my studio to the Xbox360 in my living room. The 360 will only stream from WMP11... is there any way to stream a webcam through WMP11?

I think I know what I have to do but don't know how to do it...

I need to create a webstream first to a host somewhere and then stream it back down to WMP and then stream again over to the 360. Too much work. /sigh

Not live through an XBOX 360 it won't

Any media file hooked into ZUNE is streamable to your 360. I think you can just share the live file itself and it should stream properly, although with a slight delay.

stream the webcam to VLC
have VLC transcode it to whatever format wmp likes, then stream it via WMP to the 360
