ms office

Postby Gypsiyee » Fri Apr 13, 2007 7:43 am

we need a new copy of office because we need just 1 license - we're a tiny, tiny office with absolutely no IT so they just buy stuff as needed - we only need the one license - anyone know where the best place to find one is? We don't even need the business edition of office, just the little basic edition would be fine; it's just that the only other computer we have came with the copy of office so obviously it's not transferable.

MSWorks comes with Word if that's all you need. If you need Excel too, you'll need Office.

Yeah, but I think my boss wants 2k3 and a version that can be installed on a new system too, so one where the license won't say you're sol after 1 install because we plan on upgrading the system

If you try to reinstall and it won't activate, you can call MS and they will walk you through manually activating it.

that's almost exactly what i need lyion, but in office 2003 basic. we installed it with the OEM version that came with the computer for temporary use (which is office basic 2k3) but that'll run out soon enough.

The 2003 Office purchases on Newegg and other sites appear to have been deactivated. I'd guess MS is trying to push people to Office 2007.

Maybe Ebay?

Would OpenOffice work?

http://www.openoffice.org

It's free and works with MS Office files.
