Damnit... I forgot my usr password for my linux box. I remember my root though.

How the hell can I get my user password?

I wouldn't even bother if it were the root I forgot - I'd just do a complete reinstall.

No need, there are bootable ISO's that you can use to crack any password protected box. Windows, Unix, whatever.

Hell, its not even that hard. Boot to single user mode and just reset the password unless you are on a gentoo box which requires root password on single user mode. Easy way to remove root password is just to edit the /etc/shadow file and remove the encrypted password from the root user, this sets root to no password. Then just log in as root and change the pass.
