Windows 7 might be the first time I am willing to pay for a Micro$oft OS.

It doesn't seem like a beta disguised like XP was when it was new.

...and don't get me started with Vista, aka Windows ME v2.0 what a joke that was.

Media Center in windows7 is really quite slick

ya tbqh i kind of like win7 on my laptop, it's nice

once i'm done with school FIVE WEEKS BITCHES i will probably engage in the time-consuming task of migrating all the files and shit from my desktop over to a win7 OS

...not unlike when i started migrating the shit to vista back in may, but i stopped when vista wouldn't boot without the vista disk in the drive lol

back when i got my notebook it was the time when they were doing the vista upgrade, went back to xp within 2 weeks. i liked some of the features of vista but it was god awful slow compared to xp

when you all linked that upgrade a few months ago i went for it since it was so cheap and figured i give it a whirl. i dont think ill ever go back to xp again

I'm still debating about whether or not to put it on my laptop

I still really like XP, but i've got 2 win7 licences still just sitting here

I'm not sure how keen i am on completely rebuilding this laptop (again, lol) but it might be nice to get a clean start again

If it's an older laptop, I'd say no. I can't think of a single feature from 7 you'd need on an older pooter.

well, it's almost 3 years old

it is core2duo with 2gb ram

the tempting part of going win7 would be the 64 bit goodies

but now win7 won't boot without the win7 disk in the drive, wtf

any ideas as to how to fix this?
